Description
Brass presentation key with stamped black text on front of shaft "SPRINGFIELD, OHIO" and on reverse of shaft "AMERICAN DREAM CITY". The key is large with a decorative bow, and symmetrical dual key wards in a sawtooth shape. The shaft of the key contains a bulge near the bow and is flat around the text.

Springfield, Ohio was a sister-city of the City of Casey from 1985. Sister-cities were popular for municipalities during the 1980s and 1990s to help foster international connections and ties during the period of globalisation prior to the mass adoption of the internet. In the past few years, Casey Council’s focus has moved away from sister-cities and the link has been inactive for many years. The last collaborative event occuring through the link was a photography competition in 2010.
