Description
Two pairs of ceremonial scissors. Both are made from hot-forged steel, with double plate nickel and chromium and are repurposed from dressmaking shears. The scissors were used for ribbon-cutting opening ceremonies within the City of Berwick and are now mounted onto a black presentation board. This board contains twelve plaques with only that of the top left inscribed. The scissor blades are inscribed on all sides indicating the various events in which they were used. One pair of scissors is marked Singer for the Singer Sewing Company.

There are twelve engraving plates on the plaque below the scissors. One plate is inscribed "AKOONAH PARK BRIDGE/ Cr. NORMA McCAUSLAND/ 24 OCTOBER 1999".
