Description
Original watercolour of Buck Creek view of old factory in Springfield, Ohio, by Peggy Waln. The painting is in white mat board and a bevelled wood frame.

Peggy was a prominent Springfield Ohio resident, involved in the arts and community scenes through her painting instruction and organised performances. Her husband Bill was between 1986-1990 a City Commissioner and they enjoyed an active civic life, hosting the visiting parties from their sister city, Berwick, VIC. This watercolour was a gift made on one such occasion. The building depicted in the water colour is now most likely gone, a hospital replacing it on the site.

An associated plaque once provided more information "Artist - Peggy Waln/ Springfield, Ohio, U.S.A./ Presented by/ Cr. Rob Wilson 26.11.93"
