Description
Framed Proclamation of Sister City status between Berwick, VIC and Berwick-Upon-Tweed, UK, 1982.

The proclamation certificate is sealed with two red seals - one from each city. The proclamation statement is typewritten and then signed in ink by the 1982 Berwick-Upon-Tweed Mayor and Chief Executive; as well as the 1982 City of Berwick Councillors and Town Clerk. It is signed 15th June 1982.

The proclamation states the formal sister city status and the pledge of mutual help, benefit and exchange between the two cities.

The certificate is framed with a brushed gold textured mat board and a black frame with gilded highlights. The back of the frame has two hooks with wire on the mount. The framer's identification sticker has been removed.
