Watercolour depicting the town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumbria, England, from the South bank of the River Tweed, showing Berwick Bridge, also known as Old Bridge, on the left and the clock tower the Town Hall in the centre.

Artist Fred Stott (1910-2006) was born in Berwick-upon-Tweed and painted a large number of watercolours of the north of England and Scotland. He was self-taught and influenced by fellow Berwick artist Frank Woods. He specialised in the "wet on wet" technique which gives a luminous soft quality to his work.
